Section 18004(a)(1) Student Portion (P425E204720)

First Report – May 27, 2020 (only report for 2nd Quarter of 2020):
This statement shall serve to acknowledge that our institution signed and returned to the US Department of Education the Certification and Agreement – Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students. We further attest that our institution has used no less than 50 percent of the funds received under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students. Our institution received a total of $15,222 under Section 18004(a)(1) of which no less than 50 percent was used to provide emergency relief to students. Fewer than 10 students at our institution were eligible/applied to receive funds and our institution granted funds to fewer than 10 students.

Funds to be Disbursed:
Our institution has received an additional $24,035 to be used for Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students. These funds will be disbursed to students during the 4th Quarter of 2022 in the same manner as quarters prior.

Quarters Not Reported:
Our institution did not disburse any Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students using funds from Section 18004(a)(1) Student Portion during the 3rd Quarter of 2020, 4th Quarter of 2020, 1st Quarter of 2021, 2nd Quarter of 2021, 3rd Quarter of 2021, 4th Quarter of 2021, 1st Quarter of 2022, 2nd Quarter of 2022, or 3rd Quarter of 2022.

The following is the method used by our institution to determine which students receive Emergency Financial Aid Grants and how much each student has received under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act.

  • All eligible students are provided with an application as provided by the Department of Education. Students request funds to cover COVID-related expenses including: food, housing, course materials, technology, health care and child care. Our goal is to provide relief to the students most in need.
  • Because we have a small number of students, we are able to provide nearly the full amount that each student requests for emergency relief.

The following instructions/directions/guidance are provided by our institution to students concerning the Emergency Financial Aid Grants.

  • Students are advised that the funds are available to cover any expenses incurred due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
